Islamic Relief provides support to the most vulnerable populations such as women, girls, people with disabilities and elderly. IR has $22 million fund to rebuild economies and provide nearly 160,000 families with the means to buy food and cover their everyday needs.

The Burberry Foundation has awarded a grant to Oxfam and PUR Projet to implement a four-year (2018-2022) Cashmere Supply Chain project in Afghanistan.
ACG completed a mid-term evaluation (MTE) of the project including design, planning, data collection, analysis and final report. The headline objective of the MTE was for ACG to “assess and evaluate progress towards the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assess against baseline data”.
This qualitative and quantitative research covers a total of 922 respondents, including 345 women and 813 household surveys including 39% of surveys with women in Balkh, Badghis, Herat, Samangan, Kabul and Ghor provinces.

Comprehensive Agriculture and Rural Development Facility (CARDF) Phase two is £56 million program, aims to increase employment, income and business opportunities by targeting rural populations through the design, facilitation and implementation of commercially viable chains, supplemented with rural infrastructure projects in more than 18 provinces in all regions of Afghanistan.
ACG was engaged to conduct qualitative and quantitative field research in 15 provinces of Afghanistan. ACG was also responsible to conduct facility checks in all provinces and use Cosmos application through Phones for data collection and facility checks. ACG has successfully conducted approximately over than 120 Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and facility checks on monthly basis for the regular monitoring of the CARD-F Phase two.

A research was designed to inform the New Zealand (NZ) Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT)’s future development work in fragile and conflict-affected areas. This includes identifying the lessons learned from MFAT’s previous work in Afghanistan, including lessons learned from its engagement on previous projects with domestic partners such as the NZDF and the NZ Police.
ACG was assigned to conduct the research for this project in Afghanistan and ACG successfully conducted qualitative research with different line departments of local government as well as with donor agencies and national and international implementing partners in Bamyan and Kabul provinces of Afghanistan.

The Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) was the largest single source of on budget financing for Afghanistan’s development (33 donors have committed over $7.3 billion to ARTF). The UK has been the second largest ARTF donor (behind the US), allocating a total of around $1.2 billion to the fund since 2002.
ACG was a local partner of Coffey International Development/Tetra Tech in this assignment. ACG conducted field research in different ministries and involved international organizations in Kabul, Afghanistan on regular basis for three years. ACG also, supported Coffey International with data analysis and in developing the project’s final report on yearly basis and presenting the findings in Kabul to different stakeholders.

Child of Urozgan ( CoU) was a USD$36 million program funded by DFAT/AusAID and implemented by the Save the Children NGO in Urozgan Province, Afghanistan. The program focused on health and education development projects.
ACG was assigned for the final evaluation of the program including its design, implementation and final report. This research covers total 1844 male and female community health workers, teachers, girl and boy students, trainee midwives, young mothers, village elders, NGO partners and GIRoA officials in Afghanistan (Urozgan, Kabul) and Australia (Melbourne, Canberra).
ACG presented the final findings in Kabul, Afghanistan and in Melbourne, Australia.

Twanamandi was a 20 million dollars UK funded program to support civil society in over 20 provinces of Afghanistan.
ACG completed independent beneficiary monitoring including its final report with male and female beneficiaries of the Tawanmandi Strengthening Civil Society Program in Afghanistan.
ACG successfully conducted qualitative field research and data analysis and reporting to cover 18 provinces in south, north, and east and west of Afghanistan.
ACG was also responsible to lead on project site verification and reporting. ACG collected data with over 2900 research male and female participants in the 15 provinces of Afghanistan.

SPAD was a DFID $36 million program funded by DFID and implemented by the IDLG in Uruzgan, Bamyan and Helamand provinces, Afghanistan.
The project conducted a wide variety of construction, refurbishment, training, capacity building and direct funding support activities in the different sectors.
ACG was engaged to carry out independent monitoring with male and female beneficiaries following ACG’s successful completion of phase I beneficiary monitoring in 2013/2014. ACG also responsible to conduct project site verification and reporting.
ACG completed field research, data analysis and reporting to cover 20 districts and 3870 research participants from the aforementioned provinces.

ACG completed a Project Completion Review (PCR) of the Emergency Food and Nutrition Support to Highly Vulnerable Populations in Afghanistan (EFN) Programme. This project was funded by DFID and delivered by the World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

ACG completed 217 key informant interviews with senior government officials in Kabul, Kandahar and Uruzgan between for Coffey International Development on behalf of research for AusAID and the Uruzgan PRT.
A flexible mixed-methods qualitative and quantitative methodology was applied successfully, to collect and report on government officials’ own perceptions of sensitive topics including corruption, security and the government’s capability.

ACG was engaged to design and implement an independent field validation and reporting exercise, of the quantitative field research conducted by the Uruzgan Monitoring and Evaluation Program (UMEP).
ACG recruited a field validation team of Afghan researchers to travel across rural areas to randomly meet with primary enumerators, to test their understanding of the survey instrument and to ensure they understood and followed the UMEP methodology.
